That means the receiver must be able to power the antenna with 5V (through the cable) in order for the internal signal amplifier to work. If you have a multimeter, you can measure if it outputs such voltage.
I bought it before measuring, hoping that it would be activated from the TV menu, but my Samsung TV does not have such capability.
With the right receiver, I'm sure it's good for its price, but it is being used in the wrong way and with the wrong devices for the average user to understand it.

Εγω την αγορασα πριν μετρησω, ελπιζοντας οτι ενεργοποιητε απο το μενου της τηλεορασης αλλα στην Samsung που εχω δεν υπαρχει τετοια δυνατοτητα.
Με τον καταληλο δεκτη ειμαι σιγουρος ειναι καλη για τα λεφτα της, αλλα χρησιμοποιειται με λαθος τροπο και σε λαθος συσκευες για να την καταλαβει ο μεσος χρηστης.
