The Waterfresh WF-UV-55W replacement UV lamp disinfects water using UV-C radiation, without adding chemicals. As water passes through the chamber, the radiation inactivates bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microorganisms by disrupting their DNA and preventing them from multiplying.

The system is typically installed as the final stage after sediment and carbon filters. UV treatment does not alter the taste, odour or composition of the water. The lamp and quartz sleeve should be replaced periodically.
