The Harpagophytum tincture is derived from the immersion of the leaves and flowers of the harpagophytum in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herbs dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the creation of the tincture.

The Harpagophytum tincture (Harpagophytum Procumbens) contains the same active ingredients as the dried harpagophytum herb. In modern herbal therapy, harpagophytum is primarily used to treat arthritis and myalgia.

Many clinical studies have been conducted on the properties of harpagophytum. Research carried out in Germany at the University of Jena (1958-1976) found that harpagophytum has strong anti-inflammatory properties, comparable to those of cortisone and the component phenylbutazone, which is used as an analgesic in medications for musculoskeletal pain.

The main substances in harpagophytum responsible for its high effectiveness are harpagoside and beta-sitosterol.

Tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly simple to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly surpass dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals and preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.

Herbal tinctures are very potent and for this reason, they should be consumed according to their instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
