In this monograph, topics related to theories of phonological development, vocal perception abilities, and infant readiness that lead to phonological development are presented. Research findings on vocal and phonological abilities of children in Cyprus and Greece are also mentioned. Finally, theoretical and clinical frameworks for the assessment and therapeutic intervention of early phonological disorders are described.
