The Horrible Guild Railroad Ink Challenge Underground game expansion adds 4 dice for creating underground networks with subway routes and water pipes, which score points in a new way. It can be played on its own, using the expansion dice instead of the regular route dice, or alongside the regular dice, without mixing them together.
Expansion mode requires two boards per player: one for the surface and one for the underground network. The regular route dice are used on the surface board with the base game rules, while the expansion dice and rules apply to the underground board. At least one base game, Railroad Ink or Railroad Ink Challenge, is required to use this expansion.
