The D-Link DMS-105 v1 switch connects devices via 5 Multi-Gigabit Ethernet ports, each supporting speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. It operates on a plug-and-play basis, requiring no configuration, and connects devices to the network for file transfers between computers, servers, and NAS devices. QoS and Flow Control prioritize data traffic, while IGMP Snooping reduces unwanted multicast traffic when streaming video and IPTV.

The compact metal housing helps dissipate heat, while the fanless design ensures quiet operation. Inactive or disconnected ports are automatically disabled to save energy. A Wi-Fi 6 access point can also be connected to a 2.5 Gbps port.
