The purpose of this book is to highlight the position of the British press on Greek-Turkish issues during the decade of 1955-1965. The originality of this work lies in the study of primary material from the newspapers "The Times" and "The Guardian" regarding the coverage of the actions of the National Organization of Cypriot Fighters, as well as the subsequent evolution of the Cyprus issue, the persecution of Greeks in Istanbul in 1955, the elections in Greece, and the extensive mention of individuals with political activity in the country.

Additionally, the relationship between the British media, power centers, lobbying groups, and the British Foreign Office is investigated, revealing the clear effort of the British press to present, with sophistication but rigor, the political aims and positions of British foreign policy. At the same time, the issue of "objectivity" in journalism, especially when it comes to complex political matters such as the Cyprus issue, is thoroughly examined.
