It is very early to talk about the reliability of the disk from this purchase (10th/24), but I bought it 2 years ago and it has been working since then in a recorder where it operates 24/7 without any problems. For this specific use, it successfully does the job for which it was purchased.

I have been dealing with computers for about 40 years and I have never had a Western Digital hard drive fail on me. From all the other companies that manufacture hard drives, I have had some unpleasant experiences at some point.
The Blue series of hard drives does not have top performance because it has a lower rotation speed. However, for this reason, it does not increase temperature, does not consume much energy, and is not subject to high mechanical stress. These characteristics make it an excellent choice when the goal is long-term data storage and not operating system installation.
Of course, I am referring to normal operating conditions. For example, if your computer case does not cool properly, then no hard drive will work as it should, resulting in reduced performance and often, reduced product lifespan. However, Western Digital never failed me...
