The Oceanic Slider Ball jig is designed for fishing with live or fresh bait using close-to-the-bottom and drifting techniques. The through-hole with a plastic tube allows the fishing line or braided line to pass through, making it suitable for fixed or sliding rigs. Its design also allows it to be converted into a Tai Rubber jig by adding suitable assist hooks and skirts.

The two reinforced loops allow one or more stinger hooks to be attached to the same or separate leaders. The large, glossy cuttlefish eyes on both sides of the head and the vivid colors enhance its visual appeal near the bait.

There are 2 main categories for hook size:

Small hooks: They have numbers such as #1, #2, #4, #6, #8, etc. The larger the number, the smaller the hook. For example, a #10 hook is much smaller than a #2.

Large hooks (with "aught" - /0): These have numbers such as 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0, etc. The larger the number before the "/0", the larger the hook. For example, a 5/0 hook is larger than a 1/0.
