PLD 2145/G/S/X:
I was looking for a large polarized aviator without spending a fortune and ended up here. 62mm lens, one of the few that large from Polaroid, and the /X version is indeed wider — [how it sits on your own face]. Green polarized lens; while driving with the low sun, a serious difference from my old ones that didn’t have polarization. Honest build for the money, nothing luxurious. Metal frame, so after the beach I just rinse it off. Under 40 euros, I couldn’t find anything in this size to compete with it.
PLD 7036/S:
I got it as a second pair, purely for the sea — the good ones don’t go in the water. Light, plastic, rubber pads on the nose and arms, gray polarized lens. On the water, the polarization does all the work, the glare disappears from the surface. At 35 euros, if the wave takes it, I won’t cry. I pair it with a metal pilot from the same brand for the evening — same lenses in concept, half the price of a “branded” one without polarization.

Πράσινος polarized φακός· στην οδήγηση με χαμηλό ήλιο, σοβαρή διαφορά από τα παλιά μου που δεν είχαν πόλωση. Κατασκευή τίμια για τα λεφτά της, τίποτα πολυτελές. Μεταλλικός σκελετός, οπότε μετά την παραλία το ξεπλένω. Κάτω από 40 ευρώ σε αυτό το μέγεθος δεν βρήκα κάτι να το κοντράρει.

Το πήρα σαν δεύτερο ζευγάρι, καθαρά για θάλασσα — τα καλά δεν μπαίνουν στο νερό. Ελαφρύ, πλαστικό, λαστιχάκια σε μύτη και βραχίονες, γκρι polarized φακός. Πάνω στο νερό η πόλωση κάνει όλη τη δουλειά, φεύγει η λάμψη από την επιφάνεια. Στα 35 ευρώ, αν το φάει το κύμα δεν έκλαψα. Το συνδυάζω με ένα μεταλλικό pilot της ίδιας μάρκας για το βράδυ — ίδιοι φακοί σε λογική, μισά λεφτά από ένα «επώνυμο» χωρίς πόλωση.
