Note: The insert is designed for a game with box external dimensions of 29.7 x 29.7 x 7.3 cm.

The insert is compatible with Quacks of Quedlinburg® and The Herb Witches® expansion. The design provides efficient storage and improved gameplay. Many of the trays can be used during the game, facilitating the setup and cleanup process. The rules and boards serve as a lid over the trays.

The insert trays contain space for material plastic tokens, such as those from Board Game Geek. More details are listed below. There are trays for the four main material chips. Each tray has separate slots for the 1, 2, and 4 tokens. There are two trays for the black, purple, and orange material chips, with separate slots for the 1 and 6 orange tokens. There is a tray for the seer cards, which can be placed in sleeves. And a tray for the rubies and locoweed chips. It is noted that the white die is stored together with the rubies. The tray stores all the original pieces and bottles. There is a sixth tray for the replacement chips and the flame turn marker. All material trays work equally well with widely available plastic chips on the market. Many of the trays can be used during the game to organize components and facilitate access for all players.

When storing the game and placing the box, the rulebook is placed over the trays first. Then the scoring track is placed, followed by the five player cauldron trays. This fills the box at the top and allows vertical storage of the game. The insert includes a filler tray, as shown at the top of the images, which is used to hold the boards and the book and witch tiles firmly when the box is fully loaded. The product consists of a flat 4-sheet Evacore package. The trays require assembly, which is quick and enjoyable, using regular PVA glue. Detailed instructions are included in the package.
