A classic novel written by the great author that remains one of our favorite books.
"The Madman" was written in 1932 and essentially takes us back to the childhood years of Penelope Delta, during the period when she and her siblings spent their vacations at their aunt and uncle's house in Kastela, Piraeus.
The book vividly portrays the characters of the four children, especially Antonis, the most mischievous of them all, whose adventures and pranks reveal a free-spirited personality with unique generosity. Even when he displays the negative aspects of his character, the Madman remains the undisputed protagonist. One "heroic" prank is enough to turn Alexandra, Pouloudia, or little Alexandros' jealousy or grumbling into admiration.
A beloved companion of thousands of children since its release, the Madman remains relevant and touches the hearts of both young and old in the internet era with his antics.
