    It is not made of silicone. It is made of bamboo. The quality of the product is high, however the description is very dishonest. It has none of the advantages of cutting on silicone, as mentioned. I kept it though because I like the size and I found that none of the silicone cutting boards in Greece are actually made of silicone. It is not cheap for this. Changed my mind. It's the best wooden cutting board I ever had. I would buy it again in five seconds.
