Daughter of Dimitrios Pournaras from Megalo Chorio in Evrytania and Anastasia Papadopoulou from Smyrna, Karkazi, along with her brother Nikos, has long been quietly honoring the memory of their parents through multiple donations, leaving a cultural imprint in their hometowns or workplaces.

It should be noted that with a significant donation from the two siblings, the library of ESHEA was fully renovated, of which their father served as president for several years, an esteemed editor of many Athenian newspapers and a politician.

In the special homeland of her father, Megalo Chorio, Karkazi also renovated the Historical and Archaeological Museum, following the donation of numerous traditional art objects made to it by her friend, the distinguished numismatist, Manto Oikonomidou.

She was also a supporter of the conservation and enhancement of the church of Agios Leonidis, in the village of Klafsio, outside Karpenisi, covering the costs of the architectural study and the excavation work.
