It is low in total sugars, monosaccharides and disaccharides, as well as fat and energy, while containing long-chain carbohydrates for controlled glucose release. Its high crude fibre content may help balance the rise in blood sugar levels.

Its recipe includes meat and animal derivatives, with 17% chicken, cooked rice, eggs and egg products, vegetable derivatives with 0.5% psyllium, minerals and 0.2% linseed oil, a source of essential fatty acids that may support normal skin function. The carbohydrate source is cooked rice (5%).
