This book represents the culmination of more than twenty years of research, writing, and teaching in the field of Educational Policy, which, due to its nature, refers to dynamic phenomena in time and space, and thus studies them from a systematic analytical and synthetic perspective.

This perspective emphasizes the bidirectional relationship between society and educational institutions and highlights the "specific weight" that various individuals, institutions, structures, groups, ideologies, and both individual and collective strategies hold, which develop both within an educational system and in the society with which this system is in constant interaction.

It is not a manual of Educational Policy for Greece, but a work that presents research data, theories, and analytical models relevant to the field of Educational Policy worldwide, and of course in Greece, through a structural and macro-level approach, while not neglecting the meso and micro levels, as the study of Educational Policies, in space and time, concerns all three levels.
