Enzymatic system for cleaning teeth. More than 85% of dogs and cats over the age of 3 have some form of periodontal disease that can respond well to treatment. Periodontal disease is the result of inadequate cleaning, plaque formation, and bacteria accumulation. Without treatment, the bacteria that cause periodontal disease can, in severe cases, enter the bloodstream and affect vital organs.

General Information:

• Amylase breaks down starch to produce glucose.
• Glycoamylase acts as a catalyst for the hydrolysis of other carbohydrates and the production of glucose.
• Glucose oxidase acts on glucose producing gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide, products that are necessary in the lactoperoxidase chain.
• Lactoperoxidase combined with peroxidase dismutase convert thiocyanate salts into hypothiocyanates which have antibacterial action.
• Lactoferrin is a glycoprotein that binds iron and has bacteriostatic action on Gram-negative bacteria.
• Lysosyme has antibacterial action on Gram-positive bacteria and a synergistic action with lactoferrin and hypothiocyanates.
• Peroxidase dismutase acts as a catalyst in lactoperoxidase for the conversion of thiocyanates to hypothiocyanates.

Dosage: Use Orozyme Gel 1-2 times a week. Individual problems may require changes to the above according to the supervising veterinarian's instructions.
