The Moel insect lamp attracts insects with a UV-A bulb and traps them in a drawer using a fan. The fan has two speeds: the low setting operates quietly for mosquitoes and flies, while the high setting is suitable for larger insects, such as wasps and horseflies. The drawer has a door that opens and closes automatically with the fan, while insects can either be released or kept trapped.
The device uses no poisons and produces no vapors or gases. The filters and drawer can be removed and washed with water. It can be used indoors, away from rain.
