The L298N is the main chip and is produced by the company ST. It features low heat and excellent performance against interference.
The operating power reaches 46V, with a maximum current of 3A and a continuous current of 2A, power up to 25W. It can drive a 2-phase stepper motor, a 4-phase stepper motor, or two DC motors.
It has a built-in 78M05, which draws power from the operating supply; however, when the operating supply exceeds 12V, an external 5V power supply must be used.
It contains a large filter capacitor, a protective diode for current conversion, making it more stable and reliable.
Note: This module has a built-in 5V power supply. When the driving voltage is 7V-35V, this supply is suitable for powering. DO NOT input voltage at the +5V input; however, the 5V output for external use is available.
When ENA is activated, IN1-IN2 controls OUT1-OUT2. When ENB is activated, IN3-IN4 controls OUT3-OUT4.
