Basically, I have the Omron BF-511, which is also a body fat scale with handles, but it does not offer the option to connect to an app for automatic recording of measurements. Given that scales of this type are not accurate in price and based on the good reviews they have on Amazon, I decided to buy a Renpho. This particular brand is a leader in scales of this type, perhaps due to its software.

Initially, I believe that scales of this kind are produced by one manufacturer in China, which creates different models for many brands. This explains why we see many models with different brands that look alike or are exactly the same, but with different names. Therefore, my opinion is that, whichever brand someone chooses, the measurements will be approximately the same; the difference lies mainly in the software that each brand uses.

There are many measurements that may initially excite someone, but the most important are the body fat percentage and other key measurements, such as muscle mass and visceral fat. Comparing the Renpho with the Omron, their measurements are not exactly the same, but they are close. What I noticed is a difference in weight of up to 0.5 kg. Of course, the Omron is quite old, so it may have lost some of its accuracy.

In the fat measurements, the difference between them is about 3%, but this is not very significant. The most important thing is the consistency in measurements – to see improvement every time you weigh yourself. The Renpho stands out because it has graphics, like an arrow that shows whether you have gained or lost weight, and generally motivates you to set goals.

The build quality of the Renpho is good, but it could be better. It cannot be compared to the Omron, which is very sturdy, especially if you weigh around 100 kg – you might wonder if the Renpho will hold up. Nevertheless, for its price (40-50 euros), it is a very good choice, especially if it helps you set goals and track your progress.

Usage after about 1 month. It measures weight accurately. When you step on the scale again to weigh yourself, it shows you exactly the same measurement as before. Easy setup. I don't know if the other measurements are accurate. What is certain is that when you are on a diet, as you see progress in your weight, you also see progress in these measurements. After all, that's what matters to you. I highly recommend it

We measure our weight as a family and keep track of our statistics in the very good application that also collaborates with the health app of Apple.
