The rating is always given considering the price. If you are looking for a tool that will get the job done without breaking the bank, then you are in the right place.
It is quite smooth for nice shots. It sometimes gets a bit loose here and there, but if you tighten the heads etc. well, you’ll be fine.
For a not very heavy rig, it is very okay. It generally has quite a few plastic parts, but with minimal care I don’t think you’ll have a problem. I used it with an R6, adapter, and a Tamron 24-70, which is already a heavy lens, and the adapter makes the whole setup even heavier at the front.
It generally doesn’t stand upright on its own with such a setup, it needs a bit of adjustment and fiddling, but still not reliably at all, I do not recommend it. Maybe with a lighter set it could stand better.
In my opinion, instead of renting something, it’s better to get this, and when the budget allows, go for something much better, like a 200+ euro monopod and head.
