The student learns and practices spiccato, vibrato, and playing positions step by step. The pieces, which are all in two parts, aim for the flexible use of new techniques in a diverse musical environment. Learning shifting is one of the main points, in addition to learning to play in seconds, thirds, fourths, and half positions. The pieces cover all possible combinations of initial and terminal fingers. Suggestions for free playing are also provided in Book 2, which encourages imagination, increases the student's joy in playing, practicing, and the experimental process – and is also ideal for group lessons!
