There is no comparison in the quality it gives you compared to a flatbed. The only drawback is the speed. Personally, I find it impossible for someone to scan an entire 36-frame film at the maximum resolution and with all the settings that Silverfast 9, which is included, offers you. It will take hours and, in fact, without being able to get up from the computer. The best option, if possible, is to scan the whole film with the flatbed and only selectively with the Plustek.

Very good choice and of course better than any other flatbed scanner on the market for 35mm. For color scanning, it does not have infrared, if your budget allows it, get the next model. I have had it for about 4 years and it gives me very good results. The only negative thing I can think of is the speed at which it scans at high resolution.
