Mastervolt MasterShunt 500 CZone

The MasterShunt is the heart of any battery-powered energy system. The built-in battery monitor communicates information about the battery bank to other devices that support MasterBus, CZone, or NMEA 2000, such as battery chargers, inverter/chargers, and displays. The MasterShunt enhances comfort, extends battery life, and increases uptime.

The MasterShunt 500 provides all the necessary information for monitoring the battery bank and controlling the system, such as voltage, current, state of charge, and time remaining. All information is made available to the system via a single MasterBus or CZone cable. The highly accurate measurement of current flow in relation to the state of charge allows the MasterShunt to precisely determine the remaining time.

Programmable events and a built-in real-time clock enable complete automation of the system. Examples include automatically starting the generator when the battery bank is low or automatically generating a warning at a specific discharge depth. The proven design of the MasterShunt has been upgraded to achieve an even higher level of accuracy and control.

The MasterShunt 500 CZone offers the freedom of choice regarding the type, rating, and location of the fuse. The battery meter is provided with an internal bus bar for use in situations where an external fuse holder is required. If the MasterShunt is installed close to the battery, the bus bar can be replaced by an ANL or Class T fuse, saving space and cost.
