Technical characteristics:

  • High-Quality & Glossy Finish
  • Color Retention
  • Glossy color
  • High Chemical & Mechanical Resistance
  • Coverage: 14 ± 2 m2/lt
  • Final Surface Texture: High Gloss
  • Thinning: 5-15% Thinner 120
  • Drying Time: 1 hour
  • Recoat Time: 2-4 hours
  • Recommended Application Coats: 2 coats
  • Application Method: Roller, Brush, and Airless Spray
  • Application Surfaces: Polyester, Wood, Metal, Concrete/Cement, Glass/Tile/Enamel, Stone

Preparation

A basic prerequisite for achieving good results is careful preparation. After removing all old paint, rust, and oils, we sand and remove the dust with a cloth.

New polyester surfaces:

On new polyester surfaces, it is important to remove any greasy substances. The following procedure is recommended: Wash and scrub the surface with warm water and soap (detergent). This is followed by very thorough rinsing, drying, and cleaning with thinner. Then sand the surface and remove the dust with a brush and a cloth dampened with thinner. The surface is now ready to be painted. With any other procedure, there is a risk that during sanding the greasy substances will become trapped inside the surface, making painting impossible afterwards. Prime with UNI-PRIMER, 1-2 coats. Apply 2 coats of POLYGLOSS.

New surfaces of plaster, concrete, bricks, cement and stone:

We apply POLACRYL 301 until the surface is saturated. We prime with UNI-PRIMER, 1-2 coats. We apply 2-3 coats of POLYGLOSS.

New wooden surfaces:

We apply POLACRYL 301 until the surface is saturated. We prime with UNI-PRIMER, 1-2 coats. We apply 2-3 coats of POLYGLOSS.

New metal surfaces:

We prime with X-RUST, 2 coats. We apply 2-3 coats of POLYGLOSS.

New surfaces made of glass, tile, enamel:

We prime with SMALTO GRIP, 1-2 coats. We apply 2-3 coats of POLYGLOSS.

Repainted old surfaces:

We prime with 1-2 coats of UNI-PRIMER. We apply 2-3 coats of POLYGLOSS.

Usage

  • We mix component A thoroughly before use and, once homogenized, we slowly add component B under continuous stirring.
  • We apply it making sure there is enough paint for an entire section. This practice is important to achieve a perfect result.
  • Before application, the surfaces are smoothed with suitable sandpaper.
  • To avoid bubbles during application, we carry out the work in the shade whenever possible.
  • Do not apply when the air and surface temperatures are below 10°C or above 35ºC, or when the relative humidity is greater than 70%.
  • By adding the additive ADDITIVE 640 to the final coat, we can improve the chemical and mechanical resistance of the final surface.
  • It is recommended that POLYGLOSS with ADDITIVE 640 be applied after perfect coverage of the shade has been achieved.
  • During application, good ventilation of the area is required due to hazardous fumes.

Drying - Coverage

  • The ambient temperature and the coating thickness determine the time required for drying.
  • Surface drying: 1 hour
  • Recoat time: 2-4 hours
  • Coverage: 12-16m²/lt, depending on the thickness of each coat and the absorbency of the surface.
