The ProArt Display PA278CGV 27-inch monitor, designed to meet the needs of creative professionals, from photo and video editing to graphic design.
It features a high variable refresh rate (VRR) with FreeSync Premium for smooth playback. The built-in USB-C port supports data transfers, video signal, and 90 W power delivery through a single cable, offering a convenient solution.
Resolution 2560x1440 QHD
The QHD resolution combines visual quality with performance, making it an ideal choice for gaming, content creation, and multitasking. It is particularly favored by gamers as it offers an excellent visual experience without requiring the same computing power needed for 4K resolution, allowing for high frame rates (fps) on modern computers.
Additionally, on 27-inch screens, the pixel density of the 2560x1440 resolution is ideal for sharp graphics and clear text, ensuring a balance between detail and comfortable use. It is also excellent for professional-level applications such as photo and video editing.
Refresh Rate 144 Hz
The 144 Hz refresh rate is a feature that pertains to the speed at which the screen can refresh its image per second. A 144 Hz refresh rate means that the screen refreshes its content 144 times per second, providing smoother and more realistic motion compared to traditional 60 Hz screens.
This feature is particularly popular among gamers, as it significantly enhances the gaming experience, especially in fast-paced games like FPS (First-Person Shooters), racing games, and esports. The high refresh rate reduces motion blur and makes movement appear more natural, giving users a competitive advantage in demanding conditions.
Color Accuracy ΔE < 2
The measurement ΔE < 2 (Delta E) is an indicator related to the color accuracy that a monitor can reproduce. The Delta E (ΔE) expresses the difference between the color displayed by the monitor and the ideal (reference) color. The smaller the ΔE value, the more accurately the colors are rendered.
A value of ΔE < 2 means that the color deviation is so small that it is imperceptible to the human eye, making the monitor ideal for applications that require high color accuracy.
Monitors with ΔE < 2 are also valuable for gamers who desire realistic graphics or for professionals working with HDR content. They are a symbol of high quality and performance in a monitor's specifications.

So, I have one negative thing to say about the screen. The way it applies some local dimming technology is problematic when watching movies, because while the blacks may be very good compared to other LED panels I've seen, when a bright spot appears on the screen, e.g. white subtitles, it's like 1/3 of the screen behind the subtitles lights up for a few seconds. If you notice this effect, it becomes annoying but it doesn't always happen. And if you play a bit with the dynamic dimming settings in the settings, things can be much better, I haven't tried it tbh.
Other than that, it's an excellent screen.
