Seals for the stator cover are made from AFM material, which is chemically foam-like, synthetic nitrile rubber, coupled with an aluminum core. Seals for the magnet cover are made from EST (Extreme Sealing Technology) material instead of fibers.

The use of AFM allows for quick and easy replacement without the need for a scraper. Sealants or silicone beads are not required, nor is re-tightening. The aluminum core provides durability to the seal and prevents slipping or coming out from modern engine housings with limited sealing surfaces.

AFM has high resistance to temperatures above 121 °C (250°F) and has 85% recovery, maintaining strong torque retention.
