Hive Tyrants enact the will of the Hive Mind on the battlefield, acting as the Tyranid swarm’s massive commanders. Winged Hive Tyrants are created to command airborne swarms and provide a mobile synaptic node. Armed with a variety of nightmarish organic weapons, and with their monstrous forms pulsing with the synaptic power of the Hive Mind, these terrifying swarm leaders spread fear and death wherever the dark shadow of their wings falls.
This multipart plastic kit builds one Winged Hive Tyrant, an imposing and highly dynamic leader creature that can be configured to take on various roles on the battlefield. This mighty creature makes an ideal centrepiece for any Tyranid army – it is depicted with its sinewy, ragged wings spread wide, while only its serpentine tail touches the ground, as if preparing to take flight or pounce on its prey. The kit includes a vast range of weapon options, including two scything talons, a heavy venom cannon, a stranglethorn cannon, and a bonesword and lash whip – as well as biomorph upgrades such as adrenal glands and toxin sacs, plus other components to customise your Winged Hive Tyrant. You can also choose to build the model as a wingless Hive Tyrant or the insidious Swarmlord.
This set comprises 59 plastic components and comes with a 60mm Citadel Round Base. The miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.
