Aftertouch Support & Dynamic Expression

The Nautilus AT edition features Aftertouch functionality on its 61-key semi-weighted keyboard, allowing you to introduce modulation, filters, vibrato, or volume changes by applying pressure to the keys after the initial strike. The factory sound libraries have been specially optimized to take advantage of the Aftertouch parameter, offering greater expressiveness during live performances and studio recordings.

9 Independent Sound Engines

The Korg Nautilus AT 61 uses the architecture of 9 independent sound engines. It includes the SGX-2 engine for acoustic pianos, with every key fully sampled without compression; the EP-1 engine for electric pianos; the CX-3 engine for emulating tonewheel organs; and the AL-1, MS-20EX and PolysixEX engines for analog and virtual analog synthesis. It also features the MOD-7 engine for VPM/FM synthesis, the STR-1 engine for physical modeling of plucked strings, and the HD-1 High Definition PCM generator for orchestral ensembles and synth pads.

TouchView User Interface & Realtime Controls

Navigation and configuration are handled via the 7-inch TouchView color touchscreen, which supports graphical parameter displays and immediate response. The front-panel controls include recessed rotary knobs (Realtime Dynamics & Control Knobs), which let you adjust the filter, effects, and keyboard’s dynamic response in real time. Smooth Sound Transitions (SST) technology ensures that sustained notes and effects continue uninterrupted when changing programs.

Sequencer, Sampling & Professional Connectivity

The workstation features a complete production system with 16 MIDI tracks and 16 audio tracks (recording quality of 24-bit / 48kHz), allowing multitrack recording of instruments and vocals. It includes four independent Arpeggiator processors, automatic rhythm pattern sequences (Drum Tracks), and Sampling/Auto-Sampling functionality. For connectivity, it offers 6 analog audio outputs, 2 analog inputs, full MIDI (In/Out/Thru), and a USB Type-B port that functions as a USB Audio/MIDI interface.
