Description

Description

The Vengeance Ghost-G75 MSI Edition is an excellent desktop for gamers and users who need a powerful and reliable device for their daily work. The PC features an Intel Core i7 13700F processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card, 32 GB of RAM, and 2 drives, a 1TB SSD and a 2TB HDD, making it the ultimate solution to meet the demanding needs of modern gaming and streaming. This hardware combination makes the PC capable of handling the most demanding games and applications.

It does not include an operating system, and the user will need to install the OS of their choice, such as Windows or Linux.

Case

The MSI MAG Vampiric 100 is a mid-tower computer case with a minimalist design and excellent airflow. It features a profile thickness of 205 mm, making it suitable for placement in small spaces. The case also includes a tempered glass window on the side, allowing you to admire your components. The MAG Vampiric 100 is compatible with a variety of motherboards, including ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX. It also has space for up to 7 fans and up to a 240 mm radiator.

Processor

The Intel Core i7 13700F processor is based on the Raptor Lake microarchitecture (13th Gen) (2022). It features 16 cores with 24 Threads. More cores provide increased power in programs that take advantage of the presence of a larger number of cores. Threads allow the processor to run multiple applications simultaneously, completing tasks faster. Its maximum frequency reaches 5.2 GHz.

Storage Space

Equipped with two disks: 1TB SSD & 2TB HDD. This capacity is sufficient for the operating system, additional programs beyond the basics, and storage of a considerable amount of photos, videos, etc. If it fills up, there is the option to purchase an internal or external disk.

Graphics Card

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs power the world's fastest computers for gamers and creators. Built with the highly efficient NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, they bring a quantum leap in performance with AI-powered DLSS 3 and enable realistic virtual worlds with full ray tracing.
Additionally, the Max-Q suite of technologies optimizes system performance, power, battery life, and acoustics for maximum efficiency.

32GB RAM DDR5

It features 32GB of DDR5 technology. The DDR5 memory is the latest RAM technology and offers higher speeds and capacities compared to the previous DDR4 technology. The operating frequency of the memory, combined with the high capacity, allows the system to perform more demanding tasks with greater ease and speed. It is suitable for users seeking high performance from their system, such as gamers, as well as professionals dealing with demanding applications like video and image editing.

This review is about the gpu: nVidia GeForce RTX 4070 12GB

Real value for money in this price range. One of the best i7 processors, competing only with some i5 models like the 13600 (and some slightly more expensive i7 models like the 13700k and i9/Ryzen 9), and the 4070 is practically the best option in this price range for anyone interested in VRAM in this generation (e.g. 4060). For reference, it ranks 11th and 12th respectively on userbenchmark - but of course, everyone judges their own value for money based on their usage and budget brackets they choose.
Furthermore, DDR5 for futureproofing (and 32GB is more than enough for the average user), ample storage space, and a spacious case with good airflow. Good cable management, which needed minimal adjustment for a third hard drive.
The only drawback for now is the noise, but it's probably expected at these RPMs. Perhaps the processor needs some light undervolting, at first glance.

Edit: Ultimately, I resolved the issue with an aftermarket cooler (the Noctua NH-U12A), as the stock Laminar RM1 was too noisy for the little cooling it provided. This is clearly an Intel issue (which I understand has been around for some years), but fortunately, there are such solutions available if someone doesn't want to resort to (free but potentially risky) undervolting.
Fully satisfied after using it for about a month as a gaming rig and workstation.
