Description

Designed by a dentist, the Muellerguard® Mouthguard helps reduce the risk of dental injury during the most challenging sports. Its thin front wall construction will not affect speech or breathing, while the dense back area helps absorb shocks.

  • Copolymer resin, quick-fit for comfortable wear
  • Oral trauma is reduced through a ventilated "cushion" that absorbs shocks
  • The perfect fit provides better protection from blunt impacts
  • The low profile helps to reduce gagging

Fitting instructions:

  • Fill a pot with some water. Allow the water to boil.
  • Remove the water from the heat source.
  • Immediately place the mouth guard in the water for 90 seconds. Do not remove before 90 seconds.
  • Carefully remove the mouth guard from the hot water with a slotted spoon.
  • Cool the mouth guard under tap water for 1-2 seconds only to bring the surface temperature to a comfortable level.
  • Lick your lips before placing the mouth guard in your mouth.
  • While looking in a mirror, carefully align the mouth guard with the center line of the upper teeth.
  • Place the mouth guard over and around the upper teeth (tab up) and press firmly first into the molars then the front teeth.
  • Bring the lower jaw forward and up into the base of the mouth guard with teeth aligned with the lower channel.
  • Close your mouth while biting firmly into the mouth guard.
  • Suck hard and use your fingers to press the edges of the mouth guard onto the teeth and roof of the mouth through the lips and cheeks for 20 seconds.
  • Remove the mouth guard and cool under tap water for 30 seconds.
  • Replace it in your mouth and test for a good, firm fit.
  • Repeat steps 1 through 10 if the fit is not accurate.
