    It is the best analog multimeter available, I would not recommend it for measuring quantities (Ohms, Amps, Volts, etc). However, it is the best tool for measuring transistors (almost everything), to see voltage changes, generally to measure resistance changes that lead you to the problematic component. Of course, it requires knowing the method, the older ones know.
