Features

  • AMD FreeSync™ Premium. tear-free, stutter-free, smooth gaming

Gaming should not be a choice between unstable gameplay or broken frames. AMD FreeSync™ Premium equips serious gamers with a smooth, tear-free, stutter-free gaming experience with top performance. No compromises, play confidently with a high refresh rate, low frame rate compensation, and low latency.

  • Certified NVIDIA® G-SYNC® compatible for smooth fast gaming

When playing intense games with high refresh rates, screen tearing may occur without optimal graphics synchronization. This Philips monitor is certified NVIDIA® G-SYNC® compatible, reducing screen tearing and synchronizing your monitor's refresh rate with your graphics card output for a smoother gaming experience. Scenes appear instantly, objects look sharper, and gameplay is smooth, giving you an amazing visual experience and a serious competitive advantage.

  • 165 Hz refresh rates for ultra-smooth, brilliant images

You play intense, competitive games. You demand display with lag-free, ultra-smooth images. This Philips monitor redraws the screen image up to 165 times per second, effectively faster than a standard monitor. A lower frame rate can make enemies appear to jump from point to point on the screen, making them difficult targets to hit.

With a 165 Hz frame rate, you get those critical missing frames on screen that show enemy movement with ultra-smooth motion, so you can easily target them. With ultra-low input lag and no screen tearing, this Philips monitor is your perfect gaming partner.

  • Fast 1ms (MPRT) response for clear image and smooth gameplay

MPRT is a more intuitive way to describe response time, directly referring to the duration from blurry noise to clear and sharp images. The Philips gaming monitor with 1 ms MPRT effectively eliminates smearing and motion blur, delivering more defined and accurate graphics to enhance the gaming experience. The best choice for playing exciting and responsive games.

  • Low input lag reduces delay time

Input lag is the time between performing an action with connected devices and the result appearing on the screen. Low input lag reduces the delay between inputting a command from your devices, significantly improving video game performance, especially important for those playing fast-paced competitive games.

  • SmartImage game mode optimized for gamers

The "FPS" (First-Person Shooter) mode enhances dark scenes in games, allowing you to see hidden objects in dark areas. The "Racing" mode adjusts the screen with the fastest response time, quality color, along with image settings.

The "RTS" mode features a special SmartFrame function that allows highlighting a specific area and enables size and image adjustments.

Gamer 1 and Gamer 2 let you save personal customized settings based on different games, ensuring the best performance.

  • IPS LED wide-view technology for image and color accuracy

IPS displays use advanced technology that offers you ultra-wide viewing angles of 178/178 degrees, making it possible to view the screen from almost any angle. Unlike standard TN panels, IPS displays provide ultra-clear images with vivid colors, making them ideal not only for photos, movies, and web browsing but also for professional applications that require color accuracy and consistent brightness at all times.

  • Ultra Wide-Color wider color gamut for vivid images

Ultra Wide-Color technology delivers a wider range of colors for a more vibrant image. The Ultra Wide-Color wider "color gamut" produces more natural greens, vivid reds, and deeper blues.

  • LowBlue mode and easy-on-the-eyes flicker-free viewing

LowBlue Mode and our flicker-free technology are developed to reduce eye strain and fatigue often caused by long hours in front of a screen.

  • SmartErgoBase allows user-friendly ergonomic adjustments

SmartErgoBase is a monitor base that offers ergonomic comfort and cable management. The base can swivel, tilt, and rotate at various angles to ensure maximum comfort. The adjustable height base guarantees optimal viewing level, reducing physical strain during a long workday, while cable management reduces cable clutter and keeps your workspace tidy and professional.

  • EasySelect menu toggle button for quick on-screen menu access

The discreetly placed EasySelect Menu Toggle Button allows you to make quick and easy adjustments to monitor settings via the On-Screen Display menu.

  • 16:9 Full HD display for clear and detailed images

Image quality matters. Regular monitors offer quality, but expect more. This monitor features enhanced Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. With Full HD for clear details combined with high brightness, incredible contrast, and realistic colors.

  • SmartContrast for rich black details

SmartContrast is a Philips technology that analyzes the content you display, automatically adjusting colors and controlling backlight intensity for dynamic contrast enhancement for the best digital images and videos or when playing games with dark shades.

When Economy mode is selected, contrast is adjusted and backlight is precisely controlled for proper rendering of everyday office applications and lower power consumption.

  • I have had it for a year now and I can say that it is worth it and more. It has a 1ms response time and not 4ms. It has very nice colors and quite good quality. The only complaint is that it doesn't go up and down to adjust the height.

  • For the price you pay and what you get, it's a pretty good monitor for its price, it isn't the best, but it isn't the worse, it's a good budget option, also, it has 1ms delay, not 4ms and you have to see that from Philips site since its not shown on skroutz.

Excellent screen for its price. I went from a TN 24'' 60hz to an IPS 27'' 165hz and the difference is huge, with the main difference being the colors.

    The assembly was very easy.

The screen has very good, vibrant colors, and you can adjust the image based on your preferences with settings like Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness (there are also presets like FPS, racing, which I briefly looked at and they are not good, so it's better to experiment for 5 minutes yourself and have the image you want), and Color temperature or sRGB mode or a mode to adjust R, B, G as desired, from which you can choose one of the three. The sRGB mode has a much brighter image and in my opinion, it adds a subtle yellow tint that I don't like, unless I'm used to the faded colors of TN.

For those who are concerned that it is 1080p on a 27'' screen and that the image quality won't be good, personally, I don't see the pixels (I sit at a distance of about 60cm from the screen) and I haven't noticed a worse image compared to my old 1080p 24''.

For navigating the menu, it uses a joystick, the menu is user-friendly and has a variety of functions, such as MRT, crosshair, low input lag, SmartResponse, SmartFrame, Adaptive sync, and of course, other image settings.

I was reading reviews about other screens with dead pixels, etc., and I admit that I was worried when I bought this screen, especially without any reviews, but after about 1 month of use, I can say that I am completely satisfied with the screen. It didn't come with any dead pixels, stuck pixels, or anything like that. The backlight is relatively visible like a typical LCD screen, in a dark room, you can notice it in the corners, more prominently in the bottom left and right. However, in games, movies, etc., I don't see it at all.

Finally, behind the screen, there is a spot on the stand to hang your headphones. The screen has thin borders on the left, right, and top, while the bottom is thicker, with the discreet Philips logo and a very small white light to indicate that the screen is on. Additionally, it should be noted that the screen has speakers, although I have never tried them as I have other ones.

I haven't noticed any ghosting and the 165hz is perfect for smooth scrolling, gaming, etc. It is also compatible with G-sync (which I use) and freesync.

The main negative aspect of the screen is that you cannot adjust the stand, whether you want it a bit lower or higher. However, in my setup, fortunately, I don't need height adjustment, so for this reason, I didn't reduce the rating to 4/5.

Personally, I believe it is worth its price and I would buy it again if needed.
