  • Is it as it appears in the photo?

  • I got it for use in radio, and its main job is to cut the strong bursts of air from consonants like “P” and “MP,” which can suddenly hit the microphone diaphragm and create that annoying “boom” in the sound. It is especially useful when I speak relatively close to the microphone, as is the case in radio, podcasting, and voice-over.

In practice, it does very well what I bought it for. Users report that it effectively reduces plosives without noticeably affecting vocal clarity, while many consider it excellent value for money. The flexible arm is also practical, although at certain angles it may need a little extra tightening to stay exactly where I want it.

For me, then, it is a very simple but essential accessory: it does not make the microphone better, but it helps me make better use of the microphone I already have. And for about €3, it is one of those cases where “low cost – practical result” makes perfect sense.

Excellent. I got it because the filter that came with the dynamic microphone wasn't working. I put this one on top and nothing passes through from plosives. Affordable and good, it doesn't need anything else. It does its job exceptionally well and has nothing to envy from some that are more expensive. It screwed on very easily to the microphone stand (simple arm). It sits perfectly where you place it and if you don't mess with it constantly, it stays in its place just fine. All professional studios have pop filters of this type.

Great money-for-value. Does not affect the clarity of the sound, and neatly filters pops. The only problem is, it doesn't really stay in place in certain angles, so you might have to use something to hold it in place.
