Inspired by the excellent advice of distinguished predecessors, the author wishes to include in this method only truly useful exercises that will provide students with a sufficiently deep understanding of the mechanics of the cellist, enabling them to undertake the study of works by Duport, Dotzauer, Romberg... without difficulty.
