    Lately, charging it had become an exercise in precision: the watch and cable had to be positioned at exactly the right angle, with surgical precision and plenty of patience. If you got the position right, it charged. If not… better luck next time.

    The highlight, though, was a dip in the sea. Just one. The “waterproof” smartwatch decided this was an experience it didn’t want to repeat, and it has never worked again since.

    At least now I don’t have to look for the right angle to charge it.

    Completely useless.

    UPDATE, 4 days later:
    I put the watch in the sun, just in case there was a little moisture inside that might evaporate. Then I charged the watch and, lo and behold, it worked! I hope it lasts; if not, I’ll update this review.

    The Ticwatch Pro 5 is, I think, the most advanced Smart Watch with the Wear OS operating system available today. Excellent build quality, very fast processor, vibrant and bright display, large memory, and ample storage space. Truly much faster than the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and with a longer battery life that reaches up to three days. The downside of the lack of a digital assistant is solved by installing Amazon Alexa. It is easy to do and works perfectly! The active crown for easy navigation through menus is really cool! The dual sandwich display, an innovation by Mobvoi, is also very practical! Highly recommended for anyone who wants a Smart Watch for serious use! It recently came out in the Sandstone color. Very beautiful! The only thing that concerns me is whether Mobvoi will provide the support that is fitting for such a watch, with frequent software updates. Only time will tell!

    I put the watch in the sun, just in case there was a little moisture inside that might evaporate. Then I charged the watch and, lo and behold, it worked! I hope it lasts; if not, I’ll update this review.
