Most Delonghi portafilters have an internal PVC coffee diffuser. You will need to remove it by unscrewing it from the base in order for the IMS baskets to fit. Since you will no longer have a pressurized basket, you will need to grind your coffee finer.

I had a bad experience with this particular product. It did not make good contact with the Joefrex portafilter and did not fit well with the Dedica, resulting in water leaking around the portafilter almost every time I made coffee. When I changed the basket, everything was fine.

Without having used other baskets (apart from those that came with the machine I bought, which are pressurized) to compare, I can make the following observations:
1) The build quality is impeccable, there is amazing uniformity in the holes and with proper puck preparation, the extraction seems to be even without clogging anywhere.
2) The basket is slightly magnetic, so dosing funnels fit and sit well on top.
3) There is some concern on the internet about the diameter of this particular basket. This one narrows slightly towards the bottom from a certain point onwards, but with proper coffee dosing there is no problem tamping with 51mm tampers.
Used with an aftermarket portafilter with the Delonghi ECP 35.31.

The quality of the extraction has improved significantly compared to both the Delonghi baskets and the one that comes with the Joe Frex. Συγκριτικά με αυτό που ήρθε μαζί με το JoeFrex portafilter, το συγκεκριμένο της IMS χωράει μέχρι 18gr (+2gr) και επιτρέπει καλύτερη εκχύλιση.
Το μόνο που έχω να σημειώσω, είναι ότι φρακάρει λίγο το tamper. Φαίνεται ότι ίσως είναι μερικά χιλιοστά πιο παχύ στη στεφάνη. Δεν αποτελεί ιδιαίτερο πρόβλημα ωστόσο. Ίσως με κάποιο άλλο tamper να μην υπάρχει θέμα.
for ready ground coffee (supermarket) it doesn't work, it comes out watery without crema, for beans (ground with a machine) I haven't tried it! Anyway, I went back to the one it had when I bought it!!
για καφέ έτοιμο αλεσμένο(σουπερ Μαρκετ) δεν κάνει τον βγάζει νερουλό χωρίς κρέμα, για κόκκους(αλεσμένο με μηχανή ) δεν το έχω δοκιμάσει! Εγώ πάντως επέστρεψα σ αυτό που είχε κατά την αγορά !!

Nothing like the original Dedica. You get real espresso. Of course, if you don't have a grinder, it's not worth buying it... you'll just keep throwing away coffees!
Καμία σχέση με το αυθεντικό της dedica. Παίρνεις πραγματικο espresso. Βέβαια αν δεν έχεις μυλο δεν αξίζει η αγορά του...απλα θα πετάς συνέχεια τους καφέδες!
