Not to jinx it, but Proxmox has been running non-stop for 2 years with heavy use and many VMs. Really no issues. There is no better choice for a low power server. Get the -D D4 if you can, which is supposedly tested for "enterprise" use.

I was looking for something with the lowest possible power consumption to set up a homelab server that could also run Proxmox with a few VMs, so going for a Raspberry Pi was simply a no go. In the end, I settled on a solution with the Intel N100 and my choice was between the Asus Prime N100I-D D4 and the ASRock N100DC-ITX. I chose the Asus because, unlike the ASRock which is powered via a DC jack, this one can be powered with a standard ATX power supply. Yes, it is true that it only has one SATA port but this is easily fixed by using an M.2 to SATA adapter in the WiFi slot, which would otherwise remain unused. And unlike the ASRock, where the drives receive power from a header on the motherboard due to the limitation of DC jack power, here it is not a problem because I can power as many drives as I want directly from the power supply. My server has been running 24/7 for a year now, and so far I have not encountered any problems at all.
Έψαχνα για κάτι με όσο πιο χαμηλή κατανάλωση γίνεται για στήσιμο homelab server το οποίο όμως να μπορεί να σηκώσει και Proxmox με μερικά VMs, οπότε το να πάω σε Raspberry Pi ήταν απλά no go. Τελικά, κατέληξα σε μία λύση με Intel N100 και η επιλογή μου ήταν ανάμεσα στην Asus Prime N100I-D D4 και την ASRock N100DC-ITX. Επέλεξα την Asus γιατί σε αντίθεση με την ASRock που δέχεται τροφοδοσία μέσω DC jack, αυτή μπορώ να την τροφοδοτήσω με ένα στάνταρ ATX τροφοδοτικό. Ναι, ισχύει ότι διαθέτει μόνο μία θύρα SATA αλλά αυτό διορθώνεται εύκολα με τη χρήση ενός Μ.2 το SATA adapter στη θύρα WiFi η οποία έτσι και αλλιώς θα έμενε ανεκμετάλλευτη. Και σε αντίθεση με την ASRock που οι δίσκοι λαμβάνουν τροφοδοσία από ένα header στη μητρική καθώς έχεις τον περιορισμό της τροφοδοσία μέσω DC jack, εδώ δεν είναι πρόβλημα λόγο του ότι μπορώ να τροφοδοτήσω όσους δίσκους θέλω απευθείας από το τροφοδοτικό. Ο server μου τρέχει 24/7 εδώ και ένα χρόνο, και ως τώρα δεν έχω αντιμετωπίσει κανένα απολύτως πρόβλημα.
