The anubias pangolino is an extremely rare variation of the anubias plant that is highly sought after for its tiny leaves. This plant is smaller than the anubias nana petite and bears a slight resemblance to the bucephalandra mini coin. It is a very slow-growing plant that gets its name from the scales of a pangolin.

Like other anubias species, this variation is a flowering plant that grows best when the rhizome is attached to a hard surface such as wood or stones. They have low to moderate light requirements and can benefit from regular fertilization. CO2 is not necessary, but it can promote faster growth and healthier leaves. Since it grows slowly, the leaves are sensitive to algae growth if placed under high lighting.

Propagation is easy and simple. Just cut or pull the rhizomes to be replanted. Make sure to keep the rhizomes above your substrate; otherwise, the plant may start to rot.
