For the money, the purchase of €188 on 03/10/2023, the 8/256 version is very good in terms of capacity. The battery is superb, lasting 48+ hours initially until I installed everything. I tested it with a heavy game, Future Fight, and it didn't have any issues, with the battery lasting for 9 hours of continuous use. The camera is towards the cheaper version, but for users who expect DSLR-like quality from a phone under €200, you can install GCam. Generally, with users' ability to break their phones and the pace of technology, it's not worth getting a phone over €200.

The speakers are decent, with only one speaker and no Dolby Surround, but it gets the job done. Stop being experts. The CPU works flawlessly... the classic issue is the Xiaomi interface, but that was also adjusted. When the warranty expires, I will root it and install Lineage OS.

Update on the evaluation regarding battery life/usage
After 2 months of heavy usage it is by far a good choice for the budget range. The battery on this is beyond believe.

While using it more for watching videos there is the setback it having only 1 speaker. The pre installed screen protection needs replacing, scratches too easily.

The mobile phone is TRAGICALLY SLOW. I had a Honor T9 Lite of the same category (150 euros) with similar characteristics. It was FLYING. Unfortunately, it broke and I had to replace it. This particular Xiaomi DRAGS in everything. I don't play games or do anything demanding. Just social media, viber, etc. I haven't overloaded the phone or anything. It is fully updated, etc. To open a notification from viber/messenger for example, it takes many times more than 7-8 seconds. Especially after the latest software update. TRAGICALLY SLOW phone.
Update:
Now, after the latest update, the phone has become even slower. It rings for a call and doesn't display the screen to answer. As a result, it keeps ringing until the other person ends the call. You can't answer. STAY AWAY.
Update 2:
After an update that completely changed the UI, it is even slower, NFC no longer works, it doesn't connect to the PC for file transfer. PATHETIC

I have had it for two years. (Version 4/128).

Positives: The battery lasts pleasantly and after two years it still holds for a day and a half with the usage I give it. After falling into the sea, it survived as if nothing had changed. It really did charge quickly during the first year (within an hour), but at some point the fast charging stopped working. I don't know if I did something wrong, but I didn't drop it often.

Negatives:
Already in the first year, it was lagging. During calls, no one could ever hear me. Camera is ok. A mid-range camera. Not very satisfying. But after two years, serious lags appear. It cannot support running two apps at once (e.g., Google Maps and music). Almost all apps "do not respond." Clearing data helps, but after a week it will lag again. In general, I think there may be other phones with the same specs from other companies that deliver what they promise. I have tried three Xiaomi models over six years. The older ones lasted better. The glass is not durable at all during drops. On the first drop on tiles, the screen broke even though I had a protective glass.

The phone was purchased in 2023 and it is the version with 4/128 GB. From the very first day, as soon as I transferred my data, it started lagging extremely. As soon as you open a second app and go back to the previous one, it takes you back to the start, and generally, it lags in EVERYTHING, even during calls. Of course, there are some random moments when it works as if it never lagged—I don't know how that happens. After the new update to Hyper OS, it has improved but only to a very small degree; it still lags a lot and really tests your patience. As for the battery, it's nothing special. At first, with nightly charges and heavy daily use, I would end the night with 30%+, but now, after two years with the same use and charging habits, I end the night with 6%. The cameras are very good and are a big plus for the phone, but with video, sometimes it lags and sometimes it records perfectly—I can't understand how that happens. Finally, in the summer, the phone especially gets very hot, which makes it lag even more (by the way, the processor it uses, the Snapdragon 685, is supposed to be one of the good ones, so I really can't understand why it lags so much). Also, if it has one positive, it's that it's very durable—I've dropped it many times without a screen protector, just with a case, it's gotten wet, fallen on rocks, I've accidentally stepped on it, and NOTHING has happened to it. That's all I have to say; if you have issues with your nerves, don't buy it under any circumstances.

I also had the problem that others mention...
Suddenly, incoming calls stopped appearing for me unless I closed it, at which point they appeared as missed calls.
The problem stopped later (maybe with some update?!)
However, coming from an old Redmi Pro, the difference was noticeable. The screen was not enjoyable for movies and the sound was just terrible.
Also, during calls, the sound often cut out either from my side or from the side of the interlocutor.
The wifi was poor; many times I had to use data to make it faster, while with the previous device I didn't have such an issue...
In one year, the screen also broke...
I bought it for around 240 from Kotsovolos, and the version with the small memory, in fact.
I just cry for my money.

In the end, this product disappointed me; I've had it for a year and I can say that even though it has 100+ GB free, even with simple tasks it is very slow and freezes incredibly often. Also, its connection to Wi-Fi is disappointing, unstable, and slow... and to conclude with its battery, which is nothing special, it barely lasts a day without heavy usage. The first 2 months the mobile phone was flawless! However, afterwards it started freezing a lot. Also, when someone calls me, it either doesn't ring at all or it rings but doesn't show me the icon to answer the call. As a result, I can't answer most calls. Finally, it overheats to a degree that the phone burns without me doing any particular activity on it. However, it has a very good camera for photos although the videos don't come out very well. It charges quickly but I don't think it's worth it. I believe there are better mobile phones on the market.

So I have had this mobile phone for almost 8 months, it was purchased for 170€, and I can say that this particular version, after the upgrade to HyperOS, has improved significantly. The battery lasts quite a long time, the phone doesn't freeze, and it can handle heavy games. It does get warm when you push it, but that is expected since it wasn't made for gaming. Overall, I recommend it, but only the 256gb/8gb version, and the reason is simple - all apps nowadays require more RAM.

Definitely value for money. I have been a user for 5 months coming from Xiaomi Mi A2 and I can say that overall, it covers all my needs in terms of software, from applications to functionality. I don't ask for much from a phone anyway. I love the battery life, it lasts 2-3 days with minimal usage when fully charged, and a full day with heavy usage. It charges in 30-40 minutes and the charger is included in the box, which is a fast charging one. The only major downside for me is the camera. Although it has a good camera, the photos are average for me. The previous model had better photo quality. I had higher expectations for the camera, to be honest, but it still gets the job done. I won't talk about videos because Xiaomi lacks a bit in that aspect, especially in low light conditions. My sister bought the same phone based on my recommendation, but she wasn't satisfied (the phone functions perfectly, but she comes from a Samsung A5 and she notices many differences, especially in the camera department, where we both agree that Samsung takes better photos). Overall, if you are not a Xiaomi user, the transition might not be easy for you. I chose this phone because it meets the features I was looking for and fits my budget. However, everyone has their own opinion. One thing I want to see is how long the device will last, as Xiaomi phones tend to have issues after the second year. I hope my review helps you

Initially based on features and brand name it should kill, at least for all functions except games. Former owner of redmi note 10 that was running smoothly and I gave it to someone with a problematic phone. Now I focus the problem on the software as it came with the new hyper os 1.0.2 and not with miui 14 on android 14. It lags, drains the battery, and sometimes when I receive calls the screen freezes, I can't see who is calling me since it only has the call sound and the phone restarts on its own. I tried to manually install the next version available which is 1.0.4 or 1.0.6 hyper os but it requires unlocking OEM and MIUI, in other words, rooting. I'm not risking it. I will wait and update when something changes. For now, it's frustrating me and it's the first time because I have been using xiaomi for at least 10 years, not only phones. I won't discuss the value for money but they need to fix the bugs immediately because overall the new interface is slightly better and more customizable than the old miui. I remain reserved.

Finally, in the summer, the phone especially gets very hot, which makes it lag even more (by the way, the processor it uses, the Snapdragon 685, is supposed to be one of the good ones, so I really can't understand why it lags so much). Also, if it has one positive, it's that it's very durable—I've dropped it many times without a screen protector, just with a case, it's gotten wet, fallen on rocks, I've accidentally stepped on it, and NOTHING has happened to it. Update on the evaluation regarding battery life/usage
After 2 months of heavy usage it is by far a good choice for the budget range. The battery on this is beyond believe.

While using it more for watching videos there is the setback it having only 1 speaker. The pre installed screen protection needs replacing, scratches too easily.

I also had the problem that others mention...
Suddenly, incoming calls stopped appearing for me unless I closed it, at which point they appeared as missed calls.
The problem stopped later (maybe with some update?!)
However, coming from an old Redmi Pro, the difference was noticeable. The screen was not enjoyable for movies and the sound was just terrible.
Also, during calls, the sound often cut out either from my side or from the side of the interlocutor.
The wifi was poor; many times I had to use data to make it faster, while with the previous device I didn't have such an issue...
In one year, the screen also broke...
I bought it for around 240 from Kotsovolos, and the version with the small memory, in fact.
I just cry for my money.

Definitely value for money. I have been a user for 5 months coming from Xiaomi Mi A2 and I can say that overall, it covers all my needs in terms of software, from applications to functionality. I won't talk about videos because Xiaomi lacks a bit in that aspect, especially in low light conditions. My sister bought the same phone based on my recommendation, but she wasn't satisfied (the phone functions perfectly, but she comes from a Samsung A5 and she notices many differences, especially in the camera department, where we both agree that Samsung takes better photos). Overall, if you are not a Xiaomi user, the transition might not be easy for you. I chose this phone because it meets the features I was looking for and fits my budget. Initially based on features and brand name it should kill, at least for all functions except games. Former owner of redmi note 10 that was running smoothly and I gave it to someone with a problematic phone. Now I focus the problem on the software as it came with the new hyper os 1.0.2 and not with miui 14 on android 14. It lags, drains the battery, and sometimes when I receive calls the screen freezes, I can't see who is calling me since it only has the call sound and the phone restarts on its own. I tried to manually install the next version available which is 1.0.4 or 1.0.6 hyper os but it requires unlocking OEM and MIUI, in other words, rooting. I'm not risking it. I will wait and update when something changes. For now, it's frustrating me and it's the first time because I have been using xiaomi for at least 10 years, not only phones. I won't discuss the value for money but they need to fix the bugs immediately because overall the new interface is slightly better and more customizable than the old miui. I remain reserved.
