Very good, with the new upgrade it flies.
For all of you who are being sold a 100Mbps connection and you don't even get 50Mbps, go to Ookla, check the speed, and then proceed with the purchase—don't write your nonsense.

value for money for sure..with 200€ you can't even get a good tablet or phone..the console is now autonomous if and only if you pay about 15€ subscription per month..as for the internet connection, where I need it I have a small speed of about 35-40 download and 5 upload and it works normally...

The logic of its use is a bit strange. You need to have your own PS5 turned on and a very strong Internet connection. It is not standalone like we are used to with portable consoles!

Amazing portable console. With hotspot from the mobile it doesn't lag anywhere. Many games available on PS Plus Premium such as: Silent Hill 2, God of War Ragnarok, The Last of Us 1 & 2 and it keeps adding more. Worth it to spend your time pleasantly.

With the new update, it is almost a complete portable console, provided of course that you have an active PS Plus subscription. Now you don't need to stream from the PS5 (with everything that entails), but through Cloud Streaming you play the games as if they are really installed.

These are for use inside the house. It hasn't been tested outside yet. So, for indoor use, I would say that especially for its price, it is an excellent console.

I have the PS Portal and I’ve had it for 5 months. Its use depends entirely on how good your internet connection is where you want to use it. For use in the same house as the console and connected to the same network, it works excellently. I tried it with the console in Athens while I was about 300 km away. Using my mobile’s hotspot, it worked quite well, but there were moments when it lagged, lost connection, and had to reconnect. In general, what I understood is that everything depends on the connection and the network.

It's worth every last €€ especially after the latest firmware update. Now you can play even without having a PS5 (like I don't have). With €17 a month, you can play a wide range of games through PS Plus Premium. I believe they will add more titles in the future! For those of you who have your eye on it, move quickly because the scalpers have ravaged the stock and you will buy it for 2 or 3 times its normal price ($199)

Until the last update, I wouldn't recommend it. I had major lag issues despite trying it on two different connections, in different areas and with different modems. Both connections were 100 Mbps. However, after the last update, the console finally became useful and proved its capabilities. The streaming is incredible and gaming becomes enjoyable. Essentially, anywhere you have internet, you can play, if you have a PS Plus subscription, without having the console on. At 219 euros new, I recommend it for anyone who has the financial means. They will definitely enjoy it.

I bought it about 4-5 months ago, used for €160.
    I am absolutely satisfied.
I use it outside the house, even though it is recommended to use and connect it to the same network and in the same space/house as the console.
The reasons I give it 4 stars are the initial price and the fact that it does not allow direct streaming (via PS Plus Premium) of games.

Updated/edit: Now, there is also support for streaming with PS Plus Premium (beta).

Updated 2: A year has passed and it has become even better.
It is almost autonomous. However, I emphasize, ONLY with a PS Plus Premium subscription does it have autonomy. It continues to be an accessory and NOT a stand-alone option!

What it promises, it delivers. But. While the graphics are superb in PS4 games, in PS5 games, if you are used to TV resolutions, it's not enjoyable. I tried Horizon and Tsushima and they were terrible. However, Demon's Souls showed just fine. It will definitely be played for hunting on the go. But for a full AAA experience, it doesn't cut it. Better to use a television. I didn't experience any lag issues.

The device is amazing! Inside the house, the internet speed doesn't matter as it uses wifi, but outside the house, it needs to have a good and stable connection for uploading. Many people get confused and unfairly rate it because they don't know exactly how it works or have a bad connection. Don't expect it to work properly or without lag if you don't do the obvious things that apply everywhere. For example, I want to play in a spot in the house where I don't have a good wifi signal.

Very nice, I don't see any noticeable lag, very rare, almost non-existent. The only downside is that because it is remote play, it doesn't allow you to watch YouTube, Netflix, etc. Hopefully they will add this feature

It does what it says, it plays games remotely (in the same house or in any other house or even on the go with data and hotspot on the mobile) the games of the ps5. It only requires an ethernet cable on the ps5 and proper router setup for the ps5 and for the portal (when you are at home). Guides for this are available everywhere on the internet.

It is also very lightweight and convenient.

I borrowed it from a friend to see if I would buy it too. I didn't need to spend more than an hour to decide it's a very easy no. In a house with a 500mbps connection, the input lag is noticeable in the room where the modem is located and sometimes I see a little stuttering. In other rooms with the speedtest showing 160mbps, the input lag made the games unplayable, too much stuttering, frame drops, and the image quality constantly dropped noticeably. I also saw 2-3 times the notification that I was at risk of losing the connection with the PS5. For comparison, my phone in the same area streams 4K content from YouTube without difficulty. Also, I couldn't connect it to my own PS5 in any way with the conventional method. I had to reset and set up the device from scratch to make it work. Finally, at some point when I connected it to the PS5, I had the message "Remote Play Enabled" stuck on the screen and wouldn't go away at all. I suppose it's some kind of bug.

The specific product is a good option, but you should know that it is a streaming device and nothing else. It is not a console like the Switch. One of the major positives is that if you have internet, you have a regular console with you everywhere, so you save a lot of money essentially if you wanted a portable gaming device. On the negative side, if you don't have good internet, it is completely useless. If you have 5G on your mobile or anywhere else, then you will enjoy it 100%

The Playstation portal is very good, although it is not very convenient at first until you get used to it. Personally, I have gotten used to it, but the only thing that bothers me is the internet. If you have good internet and a good signal, you're all set. The quality is somewhat disappointing, but overall it is good. I recommend it for the experience

Let me write some things that bother me then, the LEDs it has, you can't dim the lighting like on the DualSense, only the option to turn it off, you really need good internet so it doesn't lag, I have 100 Mbps and sometimes it lags while my wife is watching Netflix! It's connected to a 5GHz router with full signal, but when I go to the kitchen to play, it drops to 2 bars and the lag starts! The battery is average. Mixed feelings about this product.
I changed some settings and saw very good results in image resolution and lag. The settings I changed were setting the resolution of the PS5 to 1080p, I had it on auto before, and disabling HDCP from the HDMI settings. Note that if you disable this, you won't be able to watch Netflix or any streaming service through the PS5, just enable it when you want to watch and you're good to go!!

Let's start with the fact that it is not a portable standalone console. You need to have a very good internet connection to play without lag (freezes). Both the PS5 and the portal need to have a good connection, preferably with an Ethernet connection. If you have less than 10mbps on the portal, then just forget about it... The build quality is very good. The screen has full HD resolution, which is quite satisfactory. The battery lasts about 4-5 hours in use. Keep the console updated as it is new and they will fix some issues like not being able to watch Netflix. So if you have a good connection, get it and enjoy it...

  • 3-4 months ago I wouldn't have even thought that I would want it. Amazing machine. With 500Mbps at home I "stream" everything.

  • Very good, with the new upgrade it flies.
For all of you who are being sold a 100Mbps connection and you don't even get 50Mbps, go to Ookla, check the speed, and then proceed with the purchase—don't write your nonsense.

  • value for money for sure..with 200€ you can't even get a good tablet or phone..the console is now autonomous if and only if you pay about 15€ subscription per month..as for the internet connection, where I need it I have a small speed of about 35-40 download and 5 upload and it works normally...

  • The logic of its use is a bit strange. You need to have your own PS5 turned on and a very strong Internet connection. It is not standalone like we are used to with portable consoles!

  • Amazing portable console. With hotspot from the mobile it doesn't lag anywhere. Many games available on PS Plus Premium such as: Silent Hill 2, God of War Ragnarok, The Last of Us 1 & 2 and it keeps adding more. Worth it to spend your time pleasantly.
