The MONTVAL® paper was designed by the painter Gaspard Maillol, nephew of the sculptor Aristide Maillol, and was manufactured by CANSON® in the early 20th century. Since then, the material has evolved significantly.
ACID-FREE, with excellent longevity and a special treatment against “mold” without chemical whiteners, it makes it one of the best quality materials for “Wet” techniques for Fine Arts students. It is very easy to use and correct, as it can be washed even with a wet brush.
MONTVAL® is available in a medium texture (Cold Pressed) or “snowy” texture (snowy grain), in a variety of sheets and pads. It is suitable for all “Wet” techniques such as Watercolors, Tempera, and Acrylics.
