Installed in a Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX case and currently cooling a Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G until the Ryzen 7 5700X3D arrives, for which it was purchased. Replaced the Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 and while there is a difference in idle and under load temperatures, it is not huge. I should note that I used Arctic MX-5 and not the thermal paste that came in the package, as well as that I did not use the component for reducing RPM-noise included in the package. Specifically, at idle in Windows 10, from 33 to 31°C. In a synthetic half-hour stress test (Cinebench R24) from 66 to 62°C while in gaming from 61 to 56°C. In Linux Mint 22.3 at idle from 34 to 29°C while under load from 51 to 47°C. For all the above temperatures, the room temperature was consistently at 20.5°C. Regarding the software to make the screen work in Windows 10, you simply download and install the program from Deepcool's website. In Linux Mint/Ubuntu/Arch etc., I followed the instructions in Nortank12's GitHub repo and the screen works flawlessly, automatically upon booting the operating system. In terms of noise, using the Sound meter on an Android phone with calibration beforehand, we are talking about 34dB under load from the cooler alone while if we consider noise from case fans & GPU fans, we are talking about 38-39dB. The case is next to me on the desk at a distance of less than 0.5m from my ear, so for someone who has it on the floor or on a shelf/furniture further away, the perception of noise will be different. *** The photo is taken while I am on Linux Mint with Firefox with 5 active tabs and 6 applications in the background (Discord, Spotify, Terminal, Libre Office, Thunderbird, and Obsidian) while I was writing this review. Also, in the photo, it may look bulky - it is definitely not small - but the GPU I have is relatively small in size (Sapphire Radeon Pulse RX 6600). Once I receive and install the 5700X3D, I will write my impressions here.

Να σημειώσω ότι χρησιμοποίησα την Arctic MX-5 και όχι την θερμοαγώγιμη που είχε μέσα η συσκευασία καθώς και ότι δεν χρησιμοποίησα το εξάρτημα για την μείωση στροφών-θορύβου που περιέχεται στη συσκευασία.
Συγκεκριμένα σε idle στα Windows 10, από 33 σε 31°C. Σε συνθετικό μισάωρο stress test (cinebench r24) από 66 σε 62°C ενώ σε gaming από 61 σε 56°C. Σε Linux Mint 22.3 σε idle από 34 σε 29°C ενώ under load από 51 σε 47°C. Για όλες τις παραπάνω θερμοκρασίες, η θερμοκρασία χώρου ήταν στους 20.5°C σταθερά.
Σε ότι αφορά το software για να λειτουργήσει η οθόνη στα Windows 10 απλά κατεβάζεις και εγκαθιστάς το πρόγραμμα από το site της Deepcool. Σε Linux Mint/Ubuntu/Arch κλπ ακολούθησα τις οδηγίες στο github repo του Nortank12 και η οθόνη λειτουργεί απροβλημάτιστα, αυτόματα με την εκκίνηση του λειτουργικού.
Από θέμα θορύβου, χρησιμοποιώντας το Sound meter σε android κινητό με calibrαρισμα πριν, μιλάμε για 34dB under load από μόνη της η ψύκτρα ενώ αν λάβουμε υπόψη και θόρυβο από case fans & GPU fans μιλάμε για 38-39dB. Το κουτί είναι δίπλα μου πάνω στο γραφείο σε απόσταση μικρότερη από 0.5m από το αυτί μου, οπότε για κάποιον που το έχει στο πάτωμα ή σε ράφι/έπιπλο πιο μακριά η αντίληψη θορύβου θα είναι διαφορετική.
*** Η φωτο είναι τραβηγμένη ενώ είμαι στο Linux Mint με Firefox με 5 καρτέλες ενεργές και 6 εφαρμογές στο παρασκήνιο (Discord, Spotify, Terminal, Libre Office, Thunderbird και Obsidian) ενώ έγραφα αυτό το review. Επίσης στη φωτο μπορεί να φαίνεται γαϊδουρινή -σίγουρα δεν είναι μικρή- αλλά η GPU που έχω είναι σχετικά μικρή σε μέγεθος (Sapphire Radeon Pulse RX 6600).
Μόλις παραλάβω και εγκαταστήσω τον 5700X3D θα γράψω εδώ εντυπώσεις.
