The Advance Acoustic X-CD7 CD player plays CDs and features analogue and digital outputs. Its power supply provides power to the analogue and digital circuits, including the CD mechanism, laser control and digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), and is separate from the DAC board.

For connection to an amplifier or other audio system, it features unbalanced RCA analogue outputs, balanced XLR outputs, a 75-ohm RCA coaxial digital output and a TOSLINK optical output. The front panel is made of acrylic glass.
