NEO NAS-WS05W WiFi TUYA Water Sensor

The NEO flood sensor immediately alerts you in the event of a water leak, ensuring your safety. Installation and connection are very simple processes that will not cause you any trouble.

The flood sensor will provide you with accurate flood detection with high sensitivity, protecting other nearby devices, such as your washing machine. When a flood is detected, the submerged probe triggers the alarm and sends a notification to your mobile phone.

The quick and safe operation of the sensor is ensured by connecting to a 2.4 GHz wireless Wi-Fi network, allowing easy and quick monitoring via your mobile device.

Installation is completed in just three steps: connecting to Wi-Fi, downloading the app, and adding the device. You can place the water sensor in various locations, such as kitchens or bathrooms, for increased safety.

The NEO sensor offers user convenience, operating with two AA-1.5V batteries, providing long battery life. It also supports platforms such as Tuya Smart, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Tmall Genie, facilitating its use.

    As a construction it is good but care is needed because the back cover for the batteries (with the sticker) is sliding and not snap-on.
    In the Greek setup of TUYA the menus are unacceptable (in English they are understandable).
    The metal water sensors do not touch the surface directly (they are 0.5-1 mm away) because there are plastic feet. Therefore, if the leak is small and the water does not pool, it may not detect it (the sensors should touch the surface directly).
    When activated, apart from a message, it also produces a buzzer sound which does not stop until the water is cleaned. This will probably drain the battery quickly and if you are away from the place for many days (e.g. on vacation) the battery will be exhausted (I do not yet know the duration). Unfortunately, this buzzer cannot be deactivated so that you only receive a notification on your mobile.
    It has notification options via SMS & via phone call but they require a subscription.
