The Nano Tech Bio-Sphere 1kg is made from ceramic beads and is completely inert.

The Bio-Spheres excel in creating bacterial colonies in the form of Bio-Nano Composite Films, allowing for the growth of different types of bacteria and fungi on its large surface, such as nitrifying bacteria (including species of the genera Nitrosomonas, Nitrosococcus, Nitrobacter, and Nitrococcus), yeast, phototrophic prokaryotes, and more.

The well-designed porous structure of the Bio-Spheres creates ideal living conditions and environment for bacterial colonies.

Placing all the Nano-Tech Bio-Sphere in a mesh bag makes maintenance easier and saves space available for other equipment. It can be used in both freshwater and marine environments.

• The Bio-Spheres / Bio-Blocks should be cleaned or replaced every 6 months for optimal results.
• Clean / replace half of the Bio-Spheres / Bio-Blocks to ensure there are enough bacterial colonies to repopulate the recently cleaned / replaced Bio-Spheres / Bio-Blocks.
