It is a low-maintenance plant. It grows larger than Anubias barteri var. nana but has the same care requirements. Anubias barteri vary in size and shape of leaves. Like other Anubias species, it is best placed in a shaded area to limit algae growth on the leaves. It is also suitable for terrariums and paludariums. Herbivorous fish do not eat it because its leaves are too hard for them.
