a few words about the book ~
Alessandra and Dominique. Made for each other, but the wear and tear of time and Dominique's professional success destroyed their marriage. Alessandra has lost herself and only knows how to pretend to be the perfect wife, while deep inside her heart has shattered for the only man she ever loved, her husband. Dominique started with nothing in his life with one single goal: to make history in the business world by becoming the richest and most successful man before turning 35. Along the way, he sacrificed a lot, including his marriage and the one person who truly loved and supported him.

and I confess I had never read it before and was surprised by how well the author handled it!

my opinion ~
Another book by my favorite Ana Huang that I read in 2 days! A book that kept my heart tightly gripped in a vise throughout. I cried at many points, smiled at just as many at the end. With unique mastery, the author handled a very difficult book trope and highlighted the value of being a "whole person" even in your relationship with your "other half." A book that is far superior and very different from the others! A truly wonderful and very touching story that made me cry and burn to see the ending! Dominique and Alessandra will remain etched in my heart as one of my favorite couples ever, and I will always think of their story! Read it with your eyes closed; it was simply amazing and extremely moving!
