The Grey Metal Urn or Reliquary is a box or case in which we store the bones of the deceased after their exhumation. It is subsequently kept in the ossuary of the cemetery or is placed again on the lower left side of the grave near the relatives, so they may be together in the afterlife. After exhumation, the bones are washed with wine and water and placed in a white cloth before being placed in the reliquary. The placement of the bones in the urn is a significant ritual and includes a memorial prayer by the priest. The urn is also known as a case or bone box.
The Grey Metal Urn is handmade, with electrostatic paint that does not fade and is corrosion-resistant. It has a place for a photograph and a cross attached to the front. The sheet metal is 5 millimeters thick, offering durability.
