Transitioning to Matter offers a more cohesive, unified smart home experience, making it easier to set up and manage devices and enabling seamless interoperability between different platforms. This sensor is built on the Thread protocol, which ensures robust, low-latency, and mesh-capable communication. A Thread Border Router compatible with Matter is required for operation.

Connection with the Most Popular Smart Home Platforms

The main functionality of the sensor is its immediate connection with the most popular smart home platforms, such as Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings. Native Matter support means that users can integrate the sensor into the ecosystem of their choice without relying on cloud services for automations, offering local automations and increased reliability. Additionally, it provides real-time notifications to the smartphone for activity detection, ensuring both local and remote security alerts.

Easy and Flexible Installation

The design of the P2 allows for easy and flexible installation. It has a compact design and can be easily mounted with a strong adhesive, which has been upgraded to leave no residue upon removal. For additional flexibility, an alternative slim magnet is included in the package. The sensor is powered by a strong CR123A battery, which offers long battery life for uninterrupted protection, although this duration may vary depending on the Thread Border Router and the Matter applications it is connected to.
